This style has threee 4″ square cuts within the 4″x12″ tile to look like individual 4″ slate textured cobblestones when grouted after installation.  It saves a lot of installation time versus installing actual 4″x4″ cobble tiles. And using these will save a lot of time and effort, rather than making cuts of the larger 12×12.
